Master of Business for Veterans
The Master of Business for Veterans (MBV) degree is a fully accredited 1-year graduate degree that was created specifically for military veterans, active duty, and reserve personnel. The program is designed to leverage the management and leadership experience already gained during military service. The MBV provides formal business knowledge and develops critical thinking skills. Participants will discover the transferability of their military experience and skill sets to the business environment, as well as the ability to launch, manage, and grow a new business.

MBV FACULTY
Kevin C. Fields is a Professor of Clinical Finance and Business Economics at the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate school courses on business and real estate law. He is also the academic director for the Master in Business for Veterans (MBV) program at the university. He has received several teaching awards at the university including: Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence (2023), several Golden Apple Teaching Awards (2013, 2017, 2019, and 2022), and the Gamma Sigma Alpha Professor of the Year award (2012)Professor Fields, when not teaching, is a practicing attorney specializing in business and construction-related disputes. Through his practice, he has tried many cases in state and federal courts and has tried all forms of alternative dispute resolution techniques to resolve cases. He is an AV Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a California licensed real estate broker.
Professor Fields is a co-author of four textbooks through Aspen Publishing (a subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer) including: Essentials of Real Estate Law, Second Edition (2023); Contemporary Real Estate Law, Third Edition (2023); The Legal Environment of Business (2022), and Contemporary Business Law (2021).
Scott Abrams is a Professor of Clinical Finance and Business Economics at the USC Marshall School of Business. He specializes in corporate finance, financial analysis and valuation, and portfolio management. Professor Abrams teaches these subjects in the MBA, MS Finance, and Undergraduate Programs. He is a two-time winner of the Golden Apple Teaching Award for the Full-Time MBA Core Program (2016 and 2021), a winner of the Golden Apple Teaching Award for Undergraduate Electives (2023), and winner of the Golden Apple Teaching Award for Graduate Electives (2024). He has been recognized with other awards including the Evan C. Thompson Teaching & Learning Innovation Award (2024). In addition, he serves as the Academic Director for the Full-Time MBA Program.
James Bogle joined USC Marshall School of Business in 2013 with a background in leadership, public policy and international affairs following 25 years of service in the U.S. Army. James commanded two artillery units and led troops in combat in Iraq. Later, he served on the staff of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld in the Office of European and NATO Policy. He also served at the U.S. Embassy in Paris coordinating a range of conventional and special military operations with the French Joint Staff. He completed his military career as an instructor at the U.S. Air Force Academy. James is now the Director of the Master of Business for Veterans program and an Adjunct Professor at Marshall. He holds a BA in History from Arizona State University, an MA in International Relations from USC Dornsife and a Master of Business for Veterans from the USC Marshall.
George Braunegg has 40 years of consulting experience in Corporate and Distribution Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Risk Management, and Delivery Model Optimization.
