Murat Bayiz is a Professor of Clinical Data Sciences and Operations at Marshall School of Business. He has more than two decades of combined management consulting and academic experience and specializes in operations strategy.

Marion Philadelphia studied American and English literature combined with journalism and mass communication at the University of Hamburg, Germany. She began her professional career in Los Angeles, where she worked in public relations, journalism, marketing, and the themed entertainment industry. As an independent writer and translator, she is credited with numerous non-fiction book projects, including the Einstein Papers Project at the California Institute of Technology, and she is a published novelist. For more than two decades she has been faculty at the Marshall School of Business, where she chaired the department of business communication for seven years. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership from USC’s Rossier School of Education.As a communication and educational leadership expert, she specializes in pedagogy, curriculum, instructional design, and faculty professional development. She was instrumental in the John H. Mitchell Business of Cinematic Arts program’s transformation to become the first joint undergraduate degree at USC between the School of Cinematic Arts and the Marshall School of Business. In her teaching, she focuses on human aspects, spanning topics from developing emotional intelligence and leadership skills to investigating the forces of internal and external organizational communication interactions. She is the recipient of the USC Mellon Award for Excellence in Faculty Mentoring and the Evan C. Thompson Faculty Mentoring and Leadership Award.

Arvind Bhambri specializes in strategic change, competitive strategy, business development, and leadership. He has twice received the Golden Apple Award for MBA teaching and the Management & Organization Outstanding Teacher Award four times. In 2008, a Wall Street Journal special report profiled him as one of the fourteen best EMBA professors worldwide. In 2009, he received the Evan C. Thompson Award for Learning and Teaching Innovation. Professor Bhambri has served on on the faculty of the Getty Museum Leadership Institute, Bocconi University, University of Hawaii's Advanced Management Program, and the Owner Managed Business Institute in Boston.

Dr. Christopher Bresnahan is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Management and Organization department at the Marshall School of Business. Dr. Bresnahan teaches at the undergraduate and graduate level. His courses focus on organizational behavior, leadership, and understanding individual differences. His research interests focus on individual differences in the workplace.

Scott Joslin is a financial economist whose research focuses on capital markets, in particular, the study of bond and options markets and their interaction with the macroeconomy. His research involves sophisticated econometric and statistical techniques, and development of methods to solve computationally difficult problems. Professor Joslin's work has been published in journals that include American Economic Review and Review of Financial Studies. Prior to joining USC, he was on the faculty of MIT's Sloan School of Management.

Joseph Nunes is an expert on loyalty programs, status and luxury goods, pricing, and consumer and managerial decision-making. He has published numerous papers in top marketing journals including the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, the Journal of Marketing, and Harvard Business Review. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology and Marketing Science. In 2006, he received Marshall's Dean's Award for Excellence in Research. Professor Nunes has consulted for a variety of companies including Southwest Airlines, Kampgrounds of America, Nestlè, and Abbott Laboratories.

Andreas Simon specializes in Accounting Information and Control Systems, Accounting Analytics and Technology, and IT Auditing. His research focuses on the production and use of information in capital markets. He has published in Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting Horizons, and Journal of Business, Finance & Accounting. Prior to academia, Prof. Simon was a securities analyst for Landesbank and a consultant for PwC in Germany. He also served as a ranger in the German Army.

Dan's research and teaching examines how entrepreneurial processes drive socio-economic change. He has published in leading journals in management (AMJ, SMJ, SEJ, JMS) and business history (BHR, BH, E&S), and is co-editor of Organizations in Time: History, Theory, Methods (Oxford University Press, 2014). Dan is former chair of the AoM Management History Division and currently president-elect of the Business History Conference, the leading business history association in North America. He has received research and teaching awards, most recently the Williamson Prize which is awarded every 2-3 years to a mid-career scholar "who has made significant contributions to business history."

Cheryl Wakslak’s research focuses on how people interact with others across various forms of distance. Much of her recent research looks at communication, exploring when people use more big-picture, abstract language versus more specific language, and how this influences the way they are perceived by others. Projects here focus especially on the role of gender, power, diversity, and perceptions of leadership and future potential. Cheryl is further interested in how these dynamics -- and other communication signals -- play out in the entrepreneurial space. She explores these interests using a variety of approaches, including experiments, field studies, and archival data analysis.
