Marshall Minds: Ep. 2 “Indoctrination in the Classroom: Evidence from the Spanish Social Service”

Alejandro Martinez-Marquina, assistant professor of finance and business economics, used historical data to compare female high school students who were enrolled or not enrolled in a 6-month home-economics course. Martinez-Marquina found that the “values” taught in school had a strong and persistent impact, influencing their future social and economic decisions.

Marshall Minds is a new faculty research series offering audiences a glimpse into complex issues made simple.
